Alcudia lies on the north east coast of Majorca at the western end of the magnificent Bay of Alcudia. This is the longest beach on Majorca with almost 8km of fine, clean sand. There are numerous water sport facilities available to suit all tastes, including wind surfing, water skiing, paragliding and yachting. The nearby Hidro Park is reasonably priced at 15 Euros for adults and 5 Euros for children. Under 5’s are free. In addition to the usual selection of slides and flumes it has two large swimming pools and a wave pool. |

A local byelaw ensures that the bars cease playing music at midnight. For the young and young at heart there are a few late night discos and nightclubs within 20 minutes walk. |

Alcudia old town with its narrow streets and Roman remains is within 15 minutes walk of Carabela. The large open air market in the old town is well worth a visit on Sunday and Tuesday mornings for leather goods, lace, clothing and fresh food. |

Frequent bus services to Palma, Pollenca and other parts of the island leave from outside Carabela, but these can be very crowded in the high season. The more energetic among you will prefer to get around on a hired bicycle. |

Those who really want to relax can take a trip in a horse and carriage. |

Glass bottomed boats ply regularly from the port for trips round the bay or to Pollenca and the delightful Formentor.
